Ulster, Budapest and Spain (All good news)

Ulster, Budapest and Spain (All good news): "A few brave men cut the wall at Sopron, permitting the escape of hundreds of East Germans who had gathered in Austria to make one last massive attempt to leave the USSR.
Ex-Chancellor Helmut Kohl could not be present in Budapest for the celebrations because of ill health, but he sent a message: 'The first stones to be dislodged from the Berlin Wall actually fell out of another wall in Hungary.' Eight hundred kilometres separate Berlin from Sopron, and it seems likely that those dissidents in Hungary were not to know what would happen a bare three months later."
