Budapest to Sopron - Sopron, Hungary Travel Blog: "We drove to Sopron which is in the western edge of Hungary near the Austrian Border. We passed some more farming land – the stork chicks up in their telegraph pole nests have grown and the fields of sunflowers are beginning to flower. We arrived at Sopron at lunchtime and found the nice pensione we have booked for tonight then walked into the Centre of Town. Sopron is lovely – it was once fully enclosed by a wall and has a firewatch/clock Tower (13th Century) which we climbed for a view of the town.
